After finally getting Gavin to sleep last night at 2:00 a.m. I laid down alone in bed since Nate was sleeping on the couch in hopes of being able to function normal at work today. I woke up to Nate's alarm around 5:45 very sore since Gavin hadn't eaten since 12:00. So I woke Gavin up and fed him got him back to sleep in time to quickly shower before Tayla got up for the day. Tayla got up and we got her dressed and fed, quickly made some muffins, then I fed Gavin again dressed him and rushed out the door to take my mom to the airport. Dropped my mom off at the airport then drove to the hospital to get Gavin's blood tested again for bilirubin. Rushed home hoping to get a tiny bit of a rest before Tayla woke up. HA! Got home fed Gavin again and Tayla was up. So we did laundry and dishes and cleaned up her room. Phone rings, it's the Dr. Bilirubin is still high, hasn't changed meaning we have to keep the lights and go back yet again tomorrow to get Gavin's blood drawn (keeping in mind we are driving each time up to Jordan Valley hospital). Next thing I know it's time for Tayla's nap again and Gavin to eat again, that brings us to here, where I am sitting listening to my daughter not taking a nap, feeding my son, and preparing for bath and bedtime routines by myself tonight since Nate will be late coming home. *sigh* And tomorrow we will do it all over again.....
All of that wouldn't be quite as bad if I felt better and could actually lift my daughter, but I don't and can't. On a good note though and for the records; Gavin's imbilical cord fell off today so we can have normal baths for him YAY! I have got him to go 7 hours between feedings two nights in a row now; wish me luck for tonight! Tayla has been extremely sweet to him and doesn't seem to be so rough anymore. I've only cried once today and I'm able to squeeze (squeeze being the key word) into my pre-preggo jeans.
Also Congrats to Nelson and Sierra who had their baby boy, Andrew last night at 6:02 p.m. weighing 8 lbs. 6 oz. 19 inches long. It didn't go quite as planned and they had to have a c-section and baby Andrew has had to be in the NICU because of some infections but overall mom and baby are healthy and we will all pray for a quick recovery for all of them!
And because it's no fun without pictures and this post has been a little negative here are some happy pictures of Gavin's first bath.
What a handsome dude!!
