Rainy Days

After arriving in Colorado I had to deal with the kids "adjusting" to the new house and schedule and people. They were fussy and cranky and whiny and not sleeping great and I just had to suck it up and be patient. Then Sunday night Tayla woke up at like 1 a.m. crying and complaining her ear hurt. Great! Just what we don't need! So Monday I take her to urgent care and sure enough she has an ear infection. Antibiotics and sleep and the next day she was SO much better! Still off her schedule but I could see the light at the end of the tunnel. Gavin however was horrible. I was just blaming it on teething since his second poked through too. Tuesday morning though he had a fever of over 102, so back to urgent care we go. Gavin also had an ear infection and got antibiotics and just like Tayla was 100 times better the next day. Needless to say the first few days were pretty hectic and hard. On top of all of that it was rainy and overcast and windy and yuck for like the entire first week we were here. Steph had some "window markers" for Morgan and the girls had so much fun drawing all over the windows. It was good entertainment although I think Tayla got as much on herself as she did on the windows! Thankfully it was very washable and non-toxic because she also managed to color on Gavin and ALL over her tongue!
