6 months old

Our little baby boy is 6 months old today. Our sweet little boy is still such a happy baby. We call him our little monkey because when you hold him he just kinda curls in a ball clinging to you, it's so cute. He is a little snuggle bug who loves to eat! I always thought Tayla was a big eater but I think Gavin eats more he can gobble 2 jars of baby food and a not small bowl of cereal in one sitting without any hesitation! He loves to jump in his jumper and gets so excited. He also loves to suck on his toes! As soon as you lay him down on his back his feet go straight up to his mouth - apparently we use some tasty soap or something:) He is rolling lots and sitting up. He gets so excited as soon as we start to undress him assuming he is getting a bath. Unfortunately he gets pretty sad when we get him dressed again with no bath in between! He loves to kick and splash in the tub and he thinks his sister is the coolest. We all love him so much and are so glad he is a part of our family.

We took Gavin to his 6 month check up yesterday and unfortunately got a little bit of bad news. He has completely stopped growing. We've been watching him close because his growth has slowed down more and more since he was born but now he has stopped, in weight and height. Yesterday he was 11 pounds 15 ounces and 25 1/4 inches long, neither of which are even close to where he should be and both are the same as a month ago. So Monday we are going up to Primary Children's Hospital to spend a good portion of the day running some tests to see what is causing this. The pediatrician wants to test for Cystic Fibrosis, and kidney and liver failure/malfunction.In the meantime I'm continuing to pump him full of calories and he is loving it:) We dont' know anything yet other than something isn't right but we've got a great pediatrician and will hopefully figure it out soon.

Here are some pictures of him this morning. I love his feet in the first one, he always does this with his feet whether he is lying down, sitting, or in the jumper and I think it's so cute:)
