Been a while

It's been a while since I last posted and I apologize to those of you who are faithful readers:) Not too much has been going on. My uncle passed away last week and my mom, grandma and grandpa went to Canada for the funeral. I wanted to go so bad but realized there were a lot of things holding me back, number one being my dear sweet children. On a good note though it motivated me to finally get their birth certificates because soon we WILL go. It's been a while since I've been back there and I miss it terribly....Next step passports! Other than that not much has been going on. I've spent my week rearranging things and selling furniture that we don't need to make me happier with the home I feel we have grown out of and to make a little extra cash. Friday we spent the day at my mom's because it's always a nice break for me and Tayla just loves it there. Grandma has different toys than at our house so she stays very busy and occupied which is nice for me. She also absolutely loves to be outside and my mom has the best backyard ever. Between the playground set, the garden full of every fruit and veggie you can think of, lots of flowers, and the dogs, Tayla is in pure heaven. Then Saturday I got my hair cut and my mom babysat so once again Tayla was happy as a clam and even got to drive Grandpa's "tractor" (a.k.a. lawn mower). And while Tayla wore herself out running around Gavin slept through most of it. Although I have to add that Gavin is so much fun now! If he is awake and not eating he is smiling and trying to talk. He is the happiest, flirtiest (I swear it's a word) baby ever. And of course Nate has been spending all the alone time at home diligently working to finish the bike so that we can go on a family bike ride next weekend. Keeping our fingers crossed.
